I've had this idea for a while now, and just at this very moment have I finished it.
This is a poem about Snape that Xanthe wrote one day. The thought came while she was hyper on Every Flavor Beans. However, the poem ended up being really emotional and heartfelt. Enjoy. :3
Snape Is My Sunshine
Professor Snape is my sunshine, He feels my heart with glee, Everytime I go to his class, Around seven thirty.
To some he is an old git, A nasty, hateful man. But to me, that isn’t it. That is not my Professor Snape.
Many say his heart is hard and made of stone, But he fools them all, day by day. I know that he is just sad and all alone, And that is how he releases the pain.
Beneath the greasy hair, Behind his dark, glaring eyes, There is something at which I am aware. A crooked, friendly smile, Only seen every so often. Only once and a while.
No one knows this Professor Snape, For when he was just a boy, He grew up with nothing. Not a single toy.
Dirty, mangled clothes, Not much was there to eat Of course, as I’ve said before, No one never knew, That he couldn't ever accept a smile.
As I wake early and feast, I bouce around, waiting until my Potions class. For me, I don’t say the least. No, not once. Never. I always try to impress, My one and only, favorite Professor.
So there I am, skipping down the hall, My heart is ready for the glee That is to come when Snape enters the classroom, Around seven thirty.
