Welcome to Italy, my friend. Sicily is the place you want to be, it's beautiful, it's absolutely spectacular, but you have to watch yourself around every corner and be careful not to get caught in the cross fire of rival families. Tourists, you should really hold your tongue if you get angry at a native, chances are, you'll get a bullet through your throat.
The Vassallo's of Palmero, and the Pacchino's of Catania have been at it for years. It all started way back when Pietro Vassallo loaned a Mister Francesco Pacchino a large sum of money to start a business. Pacchino got his business up but refused to pay loan-shark Vassallo back. Vassallo was infuriated by this act of disloyalty and instead of taking legal action took it into his own hands. His once best friend had become his family's enemy.
Pacchino soon learned how serious Vassallo was but by then it was already much too late, as he was already swimmin wit da fishes.
The Pacchino family, wouldn't let that slide without a fight, and now the families are at war, most of the time it's calm around the cities, but tensions do run high when a Pacchino and a Vassallo are in the same area.
